Default 2017/2018 Q, and Remote start question...

Does this work via an "app" (even if I have to pay a subscription fee) as well as just the remote?

I know my Lexus has this capability, so I figured I'd ask here.

Also, should I hold off on the 2017 to get the 2018 model, or do you think I'll save a good amount of money by going with the 2017? When do the 2018 models actually land? I'm looking at getting the RTL.

I just got the 2018 RTL-E and the phone app does not have the remote start feature.

Personally I wouldn't like this feature anyway. My friend from DSRLeasing has had it in his new Ford he has recently obtained and he had issues already after first month. Of course he fixed it quite easily at dealer, but still I'm feeling hesitant about all those newest gadgets.

the up side is the car is started and the a/c cools the inside while the outside is at 105 before you enter, also in the winter when the outside temp is 32, the inside can be warmed up to comfortable 65-70 before you enter. no more frosted windows to look out of or wait to defrost. lots of ups also to the down side.
