Default Car Alarm with remote start for 2001 Honda Accord

I purchased a car alarm with remote start from asianwolf.com and am trying to install it on my 2001 Accord.

I heard that installing a remote starter will damage the starter. Is that true.

Also has anyone have any experience with this alarm or this company?

Default RE: Car Alarm with remote start for 2001 Honda Accord

If the remote start is installed correctly and the device has a sensing device to know when the engine has started, the starter should never over crank and burn out. I have never installed a remote start that didn't have this feature, usually it is a sensing wire that is wrapped around one of the sparkplug wires. But I'm sure there are cheap ones that just crank a timed amunt, but even then, it shouldn't be cranking an excess amount.

I've never used this company asianwolf, but take a look at this website about auto alarms...

Good Luck

P.S. I have installed many prestige auto remte start alarms and love them, I have some units that are over 8 years old and are doing great.
