is it my car's alarm?
I've been hearing a car alarm (horn beeping) in the last couple months. But i can't tell if it's coming from my car, and it's parked with a bunch of other cars. By the time i could get down the stairs to check, it would have already stopped. I have a 2010 honda civic (and it only has the factory alarm), and I was wondering, if it's coming from my car, would the lights be going on and off as well or would it just be the sound of the horn? Would pressing the "panic" button simulate the sound of the alarm?

yes, your "panic" button will indeed set off the parking lights, horn, and possibly headlights, for a set period of time. My advice.....a.) listen to your horn. stock honda horns have a unique and distinctive tone. Anyone agree? b.) push (and hold for three seconds) your panic button, and see if it stops....or starts while suspected horn is going off. Your panic button operates similar to your trunk button with a three second (push and hold) delay.

This is a common problem,if the door locks on your car are missaligned the alarm will go off .What you might do is first try taking the negative cable off the battery for 15 to 20 seconds ,this will reset the computer and see if that helps if not have the locks checked.
