Default Ridgeline 2019 defect

Noticed one week after purchase: Seam gap between bed and cab is 1/4 inch wider on the driver's side. Rubber molding does not cover the gap completely. The dealership said that that it is a manufacturing defect and that Honda is responsible. Honda won't take responsibility, stating that the vehicle passed factory inspection so it is not there problem. Very frustrating...

welcome to the forum have you tried getting in touch with American Honda. make a complaint and see if they will take care of fixing the gap, or give you another car. also need to continue the complaint to your dealership. and keep records.

Welcome in,very strange how that missed inspection. How many miles on it? If Honda won't fix it talk to a body shop,it may just need a slight adjustment.

Default Noted this on RTL-E models mostly

Yes. I noticed this when I was looking for a Ridgeline a few weeks ago. All the RTL-E models had a 1/4" Larger gap at the right side (viewed from back) than the left side. Other models did not. But did not see any of the "Black Edition" models to know if they are affected also.
New England...
