I am looking for any and all help. I own a 79 Honda CB 750F Supersport that has developed charging problems. I have swapped out the battery, regulator/rectifier and installed new brushes, but none of these has fixed the problem. I am only able to go about 30 miles and the bike dies out...no lights, no nothing. I am becoming increasingly frustrated...HELP!!

 

Hi I had a simular problem with my 79 cb 750f, it turned out to be the rotor, it had gone open curcuit. You can check this with a meter, there should be a curcuit through the rotor. If this is the problem the only cure is to replace the rotor. Hope this helpes

The same with my 1100f,, rotor fixed it,, 2 or three times in the 20 years that I have owned the bike
