1998 300EX recently replaced the rear carrier bearing. bought just the bearings and not a complete new housing. also the replacement was done as a maintenance and not after grinding noises so there was no inner damage. and for my problem is the rear end keeps turning and causes a loose chain even after a short ride. there are 2 hex bolts on the rear end ive seen some with more or less mine has 2. both are as tight as specification calls for and are not stripped but like I said after just a short ride (off road) it will spin enough that the chain will loosen. any ideas why? is there something im missing?
