Default 02 CRV battery problems

Hi everyone,
I have an 02 CRV with about 40000 miles on it, and the battery is very dead. I jumped it twice and let it run for about 20 minutes, and when I was driving it, itdied out again. Is this a battery problem? Or could it be worse, like the altenator? I have a new battery to install, but I don't want to put it in, and have it die too. I am NOT acar person, but my husband is away, I temporarily live in Europe, and I don't want to take it to a dealer. Please help!!!

Default RE: 02 CRV battery problems

lbrown' welcome to the forum. are your battery terminals clean, if clean, change out the battery, start the car and see if you have a battery light. if no red lights, the change is good if you have a red battery light on, it may mean your alternator is not charging. after you change your battery come back and advise.
