Default 09 CRV burning oil

Hello all,

Mileage 152xxx. Regularly serviced every 5K miles.Changed spark plugs at 1452xx K with oil and oil filter. When changing oil after 5K noticed only 3.5 quarts was drained - i usually drain completely till there is no more left. Usual drain amount is between 4 and 4.4 US quarts. When filling I fill 4.4 US quarts as per manual, which I did at 145 K. No check engine light or weird noises or sounds. Question - does new spark plugs burn oil? or does something else is causing the oil to burn? how to diagnose with breaking arm and leg and wallet? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Until it starts using more than a quart in 1000 miles don't worry about it. Be sure the PCV is working correctly in the mean time.

Check to see if the valve cover gasket is leaking oil.
