1997 CR-v manual windows?

Did the US model or Japanese models come with manual crank windows?
it's too hot not to be able to roll the windows down here. Both front el. windows
are inop, and went out at separate times.

Check the fuses that are under the dash.

Have seen the wires that are in the door jam get brittle and break?
Could also be the driver's master switch?
