1999 CR-V Power Steering Leak
Hi all. I'd really appreciate some guidance.
My mother-in-law has a '99 CR-V that has developed a terrible power steering leak. If you fill it up it will be bone dry in a day. My father-in-law said it looks to be coming from the rack and pinion and that it may need replaced, but this is just speculation of course.
I was hoping you could tell me if there is a common leak area on this model that I should look into. If it is the R&P, is there a bushing or seal that often goes bad and can be replaced or should the whole unit be?
I restore vintage cars so I'm probably tooled up and ready for anything, but if it's too in depth I'll probably still recommend they take it to a shop more experienced with these newfangled cars.
Thanks very much.
