Default 2000 CRV dies when throttle pressed

2000 CRV, drove it for 3.5 hours drove fine no issues.
Stopped at the store, went in for 15 min came out started ok, as soon as I hit the gas it died. After 20 tries of starting I got it to start by using no throttle and only briefly hitting the key to start, like 2 seconds. it would start and idle. all indications normal. Second I hit the throttle it dies and is a MF to get started again. No codes at all. Google said most likely culprit was the main relay, I installed a new one, also checked both fuel pump fuses. both were good and relay was a no fix.
No code kinda rules out IAP, TPS and any other sensor issue. Any ideas? This is a real head scratcher.

Thanks in advance.

Steve
