Default 2000 honda crv ex engine cuts off (no warning) able to start again minutes later

Hey all, I have a 2000 crv. after about ten minutes of driving engine cuts completely off, but will start back up again within minutes. the longer it sits the farther i can go after it restarts. Usually only gets me about a mile or two before cutting off again. So far I have replaced the fuel filter, distributor, all plugs and wires and the cat (after a cat code appeared after everything else was replaced) Ive been recommended to replace/check the cam sensor. That will be my next step. Other than that I dont know what else to say. Looking for answers and running out of money to drop on her...and patience. Has anyone dealt with a similar problem? What ended up solving? anything is helpful. And thanks in advance.

Jonny

I love this car and hope i dont have to give up on it.
220,000 and up until now never had any serious issues.

I was going to suggest the distributor until I read the rest of your post. I had a 94 Accord that did that a few times then died completely and that's what it was. I now have a 2001 CRV with 209k miles that is sporadically hesitating, but is otherwise flawless. Let us know if you find out what it is.
