Default 2006 CR-V - Instrument Cluster

I just bought this vehicle on 7/24/17 and when I left work today, the gauges on the dash were all dead. Is there any chance this could be a fuse, and if so, which one? If not, do I need to replace the instrument cluster itself or is there some troubleshooting I can do before it hits that point?

Welcome in,well my first question is why not take it to the dealer it's under warranty right? It's most likely a fuse and the location can be found on the back of the fuse box cover or in the owners manual, pull the fuse and look to see if the center of the wavy wire in the fuse is broken,if so replace with the same amp.

I'm certain it isn't a fuse as I have found it to be an intermittent issue. I managed to take an 800ish mile round trip with it working and then the following day (today) it went out while driving across town. Since I took ownership of the vehicle, it has gone out a total of 3 times now. My guess is a short. I haven't looked into it, but considering the vehicle has 179,000 miles on it, I highly doubt there is a warranty in force. Especially since I didn't purchase it through a dealership.

possible loose electrical plug on the back of the cluster panel. pull the panel out and check to see all connectors are secure.
