2013 CR-V Paint Problem
I took my car into the dealer 6/10/2013 with the paint on the front bumper bubbling up. The Service Manager said it should not do that. I told him my warranty (mileage) had expired, but he said it should not matter. He took pictures and said he would submit Honda Corporate to see what they would do.
I checked back a couple weeks later and the Service Manager said the lady over paint and glass was on vacation, but he would get an answer for me when she returned. It is now August and I have not heard a word from the dealer in Memphis NOT named Wolfchase.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? I saw a silver (like mine) CR-V on I-20 in Birmingham, AL with a hole in the paint on the front bumper so I know I am not the only one.
I am a Courier, so I do a lot of traveling, 3-400 mile radius of Memphis, TN. I see a lot of people at airports, businesses and hospitals. I get many comments about the problem on my bumper. It's like a sore thumb leading me down the road. People ask what the problem is on my bumper and isn't that a new car.
I hope the picture link works. There are bubbles starting to rise on the (pictures) right so it is getting worse. Talked to a body/paint shop, they said the problem is the paint from the factory is too thin. It is going to cost me $350-400 to repair.
If you have similar problem, please post and include your paint color. Other than the front bumper, I love the car.

You can call Honda yourself and summit a claim. Your chances of Honda Corp fixing this problem for a 2013 is 100%. Do not accept a repaint. It is not just the paint. The plastic was probably contaminated before painting. Painting over it will just be delaying the same problem. Ask for the complete front plastic replacement. It's a relatively easy on off replacement. Matching color will be no problem on a 2013.
