2014 CR-V viberation
Just noticed a minor vibration when sitting at a red light. Car runs great smooth acceleration and when crusing, only noticeable when stopped in traffic or red light. Any one have any ideas what I could look at? Possibly a motor mount or something
That is what my 2005 Ford Focus was the problem when doing that only when stopped while engine running. I replace both Engine mounts and the transmission mount and problem cleared.
Is it really a vibration or maybe just a rough idle?
Many causes for that in a 10yo vehicle.
Sure, it could be a motor mount. As mentioned Ford 2.0’s were notorious for that going back to the Escorts and continuing on to the Focus models. Many write ups and TSB’s on the subject. However, your vehicle is not a Ford.
I suggest an ultra easy and cheap attempt at correcting the issue. Get a bottle of Techron and throw it in with the specified amount of gas. (might take two applications if you have been using el cheapo gas) If that does not improve the idle then you can move on from there …
Hope you have good vibrations..,
