Angry 2015 CR-V stumbles at 40 MPH

2015 CR-V stumbles at 40 MPH while maintaining that speed. Feels like a standard transmission does when you shift from 2nd to 4th, skipping 3rd. Car has plenty of pickup when punched but, does not like going 40 and maintaining it. Feels like possibly a universal joint issue or, do I dare say, the CVT transmission issue. Car has been meticulously maintained including valve adjustment last month. Injectors have been cleaned also. Top Tier fuel used exclusively and car idles perfectly. No codes thrown. Any suggestions? Can anyone price a new CVT for this vehicle if that's what is required? A lot cheaper than 60-72 payments of $500 or more on a new one. 96,000 on this one and 2 payments left. Thank you in advance for your help!

I believe he is referring to your Torque Converter Clutch. About a $250. part.
