Question 2016 steering noise at center

Hi,

My son said he hit a pothole? My steering makes this noise when moving wheel slightly from center position. Please listen to video. Originally steering warning light was on and I had no power steering, other than noise at center position steering and lack of power assist the suspension and steering drove normally smooth and quiet. The noise around center is also not always there - there sometimes when car is started and other times not. If I reset steering warning light power steering returns but noise at center position stays. Does this require a new rack or a sensor etc...? or just a reset?

Default Just a guess

That one I could hear. Just guessing but I sounds like the clock spring housing may be dislodged.

Must be careful with that one as there is an airbag co located.

Do all of the steering wheel controls work?
