Default 2018; 33000 miles; dealer service says I need new transmission!?

I recently took my CR-V in for regular maintenance at the dealer service department. It has just under 33000 miles. I asked if they would diagnose a "noise" I hear and everyone points out when they ride in my car. Around 2000 rpms the engine makes a louder swishing noise. I really don't know how to describe it, as it is not a banging or clunking, it just sounds louder than it should. There are no other problems like slipping or stalling. They came back with this answer: the noise is internal in the transmission, need a new transmission. They said they would reach out to Honda because I was shocked. To me that is a lemon, a Honda that needs a new transmission at 33000 miles?! Of course it is just after the power train warranty has expired. Same thing happened to me with the camera in this car. Died right after it hit 36 months mark and warranty expired. $1500 but at least Honda did help with 2/3 of that bill.
Has anyone heard of this happening to others? Do I take it somewhere else? If not, I guess I hope Honda will come through with a goodwill gesture.

If Honda pays for it let them change it out. If not, we will take a gander at it.
If you could record it for us may help.
