Default 2019 CR-V LX Stuck Tailgate Latch

I have a small nylon mesh cargo net which got stuck in the mechanism of my tailgate latch. I'm unable to pull the mesh out, and the latch actuator makes a noise, but the door won't open. I'm thinking that I may have to find a way to break the latch to get the door unstuck. Does anybody have any idea how I can manage to get the tailgate open in this situation? If it is necessary to somehow force it open, how can I do it with the least possible damage?

I have the same problem! A strap from a reusable grocery bag must have gotten itself wedged in the exact wrong position where it is tripping a sensor, and I cannot get it to manually open. I'm going to try to disable the fuse next, because holding down the button to put it in bypass or manual fails. It beeps repeatedly, and I cannot for the life of me yank this thing hard enough through this tiny access panel.

Default Finally got it open

I was able to work it free, finally. I just kept moving it around and then trying the outside latch. I would suggest that you keep trying and see it will open for you.
