Default 2023 CR-V Sport Hybrid

I had a regular 2019, and had pretty good MPG. One one particular 180mi highway trip, done in two legs, I had about 38mpg on each leg.

It was destroyed on 4/12/22 in a rollover, and had around 92k on it.

I now have the stated hybrid, and the fuel economy is worse than with my prior CR-V,

I drove about 290 miles on Wednesday, about 100mi W, and 190mi SSW. There were not high winds, and there was only light rain. My mpg was 25.5, and since I refueled on my return, I'm getting about the same amount in town- though a significant amount of that is highway since I live on the edge of town. I always drive on Econ, and with the cruise control. Normally my mpg ranges from roughly 30-33, and this is worse than what I had with my 2019.

Why does my gas mileage absolutely suck? I paid extra to have the hybrid, of course, and am VERY disappointed with that.

Default Poor mpg

You are always going to get worse mileage in colder weather. 30% worse. Anything with a battery, whether it's an EV or a hybrid, is going to get worse mpg in cold weather. There may be a problem with the throttle body that's been popping up on the forums. My 2023 CRV hybrid sport touring has been in the shop for over a month waiting to replace the throttle body for the second time. Part is in backorder.

I have a 2024 CR-V EX with 1.5L Turbo and my mileage this last summer was 28-29mpg in city and 32-34 mpg Hwy. Right now I am getting 24 mpg city and 31mpg Hwy. and mine is not a Hybrid.

I was getting, on average, 44mpg from April to the 1st of October in town. Hwy was 32 at 75-80. So I was not experiencing the poor mpg issues that some were.

Yeah, it is amazing how temps effect mpg. I previously had a 2005 Ford Focus that got 2 mpg better during winter than summer. (24-26 city and 28-30 Hwy.
My previous 2021 Hyundai Elantra limited got 36-38 mpg city and 41-44.2 mpg Hwy pretty much all the time. I can’t figure what makes the CR-V do what it does. I guess I got used to the Hyundai mileage. I am getting about what the Focus was getting so If I just compare the CR-V to the Focus then I haven’t much to complain about.

Default Throttle body. Mpg issues

I love my Crv, but I'm a little frustrated with my current situation. They don't know when the new throttle body will show up and this is the 3rd time in the shop for this issue.

This was the original throttle body. Started having issues at 18k. I currently have about 25k on the Crv. Took delivery on February 11, 2023.

Wow! It looks like you inject salt water into the intake.
