Test drove a 2023 CRV EX-L. Great car. It appears Honda no longer has its own Navigation system, rather they assume you will hook up your phone and use Apple Car Play (or Google alternative) and use either the Apple map app or Google Maps. Thus, the only way to view a map on the screen is to connect your phone and use one of the map apps. The salesperson was a bit unsure about this, but seemed reasonably sure there is no more native Honda navigation system. Does anyone know whether this is true?

It's true. Several auto manufacturers are omitting navigation capability in all except the top of the line models. For the 2023 Honda CR-V, only the Sport Touring Hybrid includes factory Nav.

 

On star has done the same.

 

I got honda navigation with the Touring Hybrid, and Apple car play or Android auto. So there is a Honda NAV stil, i guess no longer on the EX-L trim.
