98 Honda CRV white smoke from Exhaust manifold
I have a 98 honda CRV that I Love and just did a Valve job on. I replaced the head gasket, intake gasket, exhaust gasket, and valve cover gaskets. The machine shop shaved the head (which wasn't that bad) and replace all 12 valve seals. I got the head home and saw they left a retaining clip and 2 old valve springs down inside the head so I took it back. They removed them and I check for any other problems. They also replace a exhaust valve. Once I got everything back together and started it up, I noticed white smoke coming from the exhaust manifold area. It only starts after its been idling for a bit. I didn't drive it but down the street and back. I also think there is a weird ticking noise. I can post a video of the engine running if that helps. From what I have read people say the smoke is from the head gasket but I just put a new one on. It white smoke. What do you think the problem could be?
