Clock on nav unit keeps resetting (2011 CR-V EX 2.2 iDTEC)
Hi.
I recently acquired my CR-V 2011 EX (has nav unit) 2.2 (UK) and the clock on the nav unit was working fine until a couple of days ago. It now resets the time to 01:00 every time the car is started.
I’ve checked settings, set it to automatically update etc but it seems to make no difference. I’ve checked relevant fuses but all seem to be in tact.
I'm confused because I was under the impression the time was retrieved via GPS on this model which does not seem to be happening now. GPS signal seems to be achieved just fine and the location is accurate. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Apologies for double post but as luck would have it I saw a similar thread on another forum describing a similar issue. Seems to be a problem with the way the nav unit stores the date/time and it can’t handle the year 2022 and thus defaults to 01:00 every time the car is started.
Not sure there’s anything to be done about it other than shell out for a software update! (Which I absolutely will not be doing…)

A software up date won't solve the problem According to Honda techs, the problem will correct itself in August 2022. I kid you not. So far, no answers. Disconnecting and reconnecting the battery will not help either.
