Default Door Locks

My dad has a 1999 CRV that the automatic power door locks only work some of the time. It will lock all doors, then only the drivers door, sometimes it will not lock any doors. This accurs with the remote or the drivers door lock button. What should be our first move for trouble shooting? Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks

sorry not too many people have this problem If the remote causes this, make sure the battery in the remote has good contact or the battery is good. If it is in the master door switch ( drivers control ) it may have a poor ground or wires loose, or poor contacts on the switch.

I am having the same problem on my 98 CR-V on the driver Side. But, the lock is stock open. I can't push it back down. Before I open all this, can anyone here had this situation before?

Thanks
