No Heat on Drivers Side 2010-2014
I have tried my heater in the last week and find I have no heat on the drivers side. An Internet search brings up many incidences of the same on CR-V's from 2010-2014. (Mine is a 2014 CR-V with 46,XXX miles)
It seems like the coolant and the Heater core are incompatible, and a crud builds up in the heater core and stops flow in that area. Technical Service Bulletin #14-063 calls for one gallon of heated CLR be circulated through the heater core for 1 1/2 hours then a flush and refill.
Has anyone else found low or no heat on the drivers side? What can you add? I am told it is quite common but the dealer won't say if it's covered or how much it will cost. I heard $120. p/h for 3 hours plus materials and diagnoses for about $468. bucks and not covered.
Can anyone help me out with info of any kind?
