Hi. Newbie here. 2012 CRV EX. I was having problems with my stereo (with navigation). Dealer wanted to try a hard reset, which they explained was disconnecting the battery and touching the two ends together (which sounds crazy to me, btw). Not only did it not fix my radio, it broke it further. So I need to replace it. Honda wants $6500 to replace the radio (**eyeroll**). I've been looking on eBay, and there are 2012 Civic stereos with navigation that look just like the CRV one, and the model number is nearly identical, and they're MUCH less expensive.

Is it possible that the 2012 Civic model will work as a replacement on a 2012 CRV?

 

You could look on AMAZON or EBAY for a FULLY FUNCTIONAL RADIO with alot more options and then go to BEST BUY and they will professionally install it.
