Default Rd5 Crv transmission issues

I have a rd5 Crv 4spd auto transmission.. I've noticed that whenever I select reverse gear the vehicle is hesitant to move plus the gear seems to be slipping...... Can this be repaired or do I need to buy a new transmission? Can a k20 5spd or a k24 5spd auto transmission bolt on and work properly with the Crv k20a4???

welcome to the forum. might try changing the trans fluid with honda only trans fluid, and see what the out come is. if same try to get a stock same good used transmission from a notable salvage yard.

Whoa on getting another transmission. There's a few things that can cause that. It could be a leaky servo piston seal which is an easy repair compared to replacing the trans. Do a fluid swap and see what you get.

If you are going to tear it down and do that I recommend you put a master kit in it.
