Default Side view mirrors

Honda 2007 CRV base model AWD. No heated mirrors.

Does anyone know if the wiring for the side view mirrors heater are there?
Or I have to wire it in??

Is this an easy thing to do?
What else do I need other than the mirrors that have the heat wired onto the mirror?

Most wiring harnesses are all the same and do have connections for premium options even if basic models are not equipt with them. I feel sure Honda is the same.

I would hope they do. Just got the heated mirrors. Will see in afew days if there is wiring for it. Or have to make one. Or buy the whole side view mirror assembly.

Broke glass taking it out.
Worse was that there is no electrical connection for the heated portion of the mirror.

Sorry, you would think it would be cheaper to make one standard harness then separate ones for different levels of the same model.

The tough part now is figuring a way to get the wire through and connect power and a relay to this mirror
Wire through the mirror and then to inside the door and then through the hinge area to connect to power
So, right now driving around with out the driver's mirror installed.
Am just thinking to install the new mirror (glass) and then leave it as not heated.

I bought two side view mirrors with the heated lines on them.
One left side and one right side.
Also bought a ThermaSync heated mirror control part number 2712 (from Amazon around $50)
Got some wiring and terminals.

Took driver's side view mirror off.
Tried to shove the wire through the mirror to get it to the other side.
No go. There is a 90 degree turn. Looked underneath. There was a hole near what looked like a panel.
The piece popped out and exposed the place where the wire comes out.
Pulled some length of wire through and then fed it through to the inside.
Snapped the piece back into place and electrical taped the wire to the harness that was already there for the motor to adjust the mirrors.
Still haven't got the wire through the door into the inside of the cabin yet.
It took me two hours just trying to figure out how to get the wire through the mirror.

On my Crv the LX model, there is a place for a switch on the right side of the steering wheel, on the dash.
Popped out the control buttons just above the gear selector, then the cover on top (middle) of the dash,
Next, the vent comes out. Then finally the radio after removing four bolts.
All this to get behind the dash and pop out the switch cover.
Cut a hole in it and put in the switch for the ThermaSync switch.

All that is left to do, put wires through the tube from the door to the inside of the dash
Hook them up to the wires from the side view mirrors.
One side, one wire to ground and the other to "H" on the ThermaSync switch
The power to the ThermaSync switch and should be ready for testing.

Should be done soon.
Have chosen to do it in stages as I don't have lots of time to work on the car.
I am very disappointed that the vehicle didn't have the wiring already in place.

Took the door's inside panel off.
Kept the glass window in the up position.
Then three screws to take the speaker out.
Got access to the inside of door and could see the rubber hinge between the door and inside cabin

Trying to push a 14 gauge wire through the rubber hinge, that was not going to work.
Had to get a wire hanger and carefully push through the rubber.
Then tape the ends of the wires to the hanger to pull it through
The side kick panel comes out but not before the panel along side of the seat comes out first
Then the rubber insulation. Two push pins holding the side kick panel.

Needed to route the wiring to keep it out of the way of foot operation of the vehicle.
Then stopped. Put everything back.
Because needed the vehicle to pick up my wife from work.

This is taking much longer than expected.

Finished on this fine beautiful Saturday morning.

Got all grounds connected and to the switch.
Got hot side of heated mirrors hooked up to the "H" on the ThermaSync switch.
Used tap a fuse for getting 12 volts to the power side of the switch.
Using a 10 amp fuse on the tap. And a 7.5 amp in line fuse to the switch.
Hooked it all up and turned power on.
Light on the switch turned on
Mirrors started to feel warm

If I had to do it all again then I would just not do it.
Would just use a rag to clean mirrors in the winter.
