Default Turbo Question

I have a 2018 EXL with the 1.5 turbo engine. When parking the car in my garage, have noticed a chirping sound for perhaps 10 seconds after turning off the engine. Guessing its the turbo still spinning and slowing. Is a chirp ( thought I had a cricket in the garage) normal?

turbos do not chirp unless the bearing is worn and the shaft is floating off center. if you have been running the turbo hot, come home and do a quick shut down without the turbo cooling off a few minutes, the bearing can get worn or coke up with burnt oil. also turbos do take a little bit of time to warm up if it is cold cold. it should be allowed to warm up a little than driven normal. turbos are good for cars providing the owners know how to care for them, and most dealers do not tell the owners of the proper operation of the turbos.
