Varta A7 battery suitable for my Honda CR-V gen 3 from 2008?
I need a replacement battery for my Honda CR-V gen 3 from 2008. I used to have a Varta E44, but it's totally dead after two full discharges.
I live in a place with very humid winters and fairly hot summers. Also, I drive infrequently - the car is often stationary for up to two weeks and when I drive, I often only drive for less than 5km, perhaps 30km sometimes, letting the car sit for a few hours and then 30km back, perhaps once every two weeks.
So I decided to ask ChatGPT and also Gemini for their opinions on the best battery given my situation explained above and they both recommended me the Varta A7. I then checked on Varta's website - they got a battery checker that recommends batteries for your vehicle and the A7 didn't come up. The E44 and other lower spec models got recommended. So my question is whether the A7 suggestion was viable at all? Could I use that battery in my car and would it actually last longer? Also, would the performance in terms of cranking power be up to scratch? Would they charge appropriately with my car's alternator system? Any reasons to avoid it or good reasons to go for it?

You will not likely get much input here.
Since you are in Portugal and have a diesel V there is no cross reference available to us.
The UK Diesel section in the model specific forum you posted on is more likely to offer better suggestions but not necessarily in the Gen 3 section where you landed.
