Hi,

Recently the lock in my CR-V was forced by thieves, so I had it replaced. Driving home after I had picked up the car, I noticed this part lying around on the dashboard:

It looks like they removed it to change the lock, and then forgot to put it back. The thing is, I can't figure out where it goes.

Any ideas?

 

Welcome in,it looks like a access plug,look on the side of the door where your latch is there should be an open hole that the plug should fit in, if not there perhaps on the bottom edge of the door.

 

I've already checked that, but there's no open hole visible. I'm guessing it could be located behind the door panels, but I was hoping someone could confirm it before I take them apart.

 

Check the firewall.
