Where's my CarPlay?
We have both a 2018 CR-V and a 2018 Odyssey.
On both vehicles, we have successfully been using Carplay with iPhone 11 Pro Max. Both of our iPhones are on iOS18.3.2.
We just purchased an iPhone 16 Pro Max. I purchased a charger/data USB-A to USB-C cable. When plugged into the CR-V, I cannot get CarPlay to show up on the Infotainment Screen. I have Rebooted the Infotainment Screen several times. I have removed all vehicles from the iPhone. The cable does connect to the phone for charging. I can use the cable and pressing the iPod button on the Infotainment, I can get music from the phone. However, without the CarPlay, I can't get the maps.
Using the same cable and phone, I've had no issues with the Odyssy.
Somewhere, I'm missing something. What could it be? Help?

Sounds like you lost communication in your carplay port.
Since your old phone worked and your carplay worked with it, something you changed caused the issue.
Check your phone settings. After that, I suggest you try the apple cord with an adapter rather than an aftermarket cord.
If all else fails, your best bet is the Apple forum since we know your head unit works..
As far as your Odyssey goes, I doubt it is the same head unit.
