Default 2013 Fit Headlight Issue

My daughter has a 2013 Base. Her passenger side low beam stopped working, so I figured bulb went out. Replaced both bulbs and tested, but still no good. Switched to high beams, and the drivers side worked fine, but the passenger side was very dim, almost like DRL mode. Final thing that we noticed is that the DRLs are not working at all. Drivers side headlight, both low and high, work just fine. Checked all fuses and they are good.

So I spent about 4 hours last weekend trying to trace down the issue with the headlights. Tore all sorts of stuff apart, checked fuses, checked connections, checked everything I could and finally gave up. In the end, I ran 3 wires across the front of her car since the driver's headlight (DRL, low and high) are working as designed and spliced into the passenger's side. But to me, this is just a temporary fix. I really want to find the root cause. Also, the DRL idiot light on the dash is now lit up during normal driving.

I searched all over the internet for a wiring diagram and had no luck. In the end, I decided to order a Haynes manual which promised a wiring diagram.

Since the DRL light came on, I figured that there must be something controlling the DRL's so I searched for DRL modules, controllers, etc. Went through all the online parts manuals that the Honda dealerships have to see if something would come up and came up blank.

Received the Haynes manual yesterday and started color coding the various circuits so they would be easier to follow. Clearly Haynes did not do a good job with their wiring diagram, but it does confirm that there is a DRL Control unit. So on Sunday, I plan on spending more time on this, but was hopeful that someone had a) a factory wiring diagram or b) some idea of where the mystery DRL controller is located.

welcome to the forum. DLR controller is located drivers side left of steering wheel, open panel where there are 3 switch panel (pulls downward) and viewing the fuse panel lower area. be sure you remove or disconnect the added wires and return to stock wire before you change out the controller. if you pull the fuse out , 7.5 fuse second row over from the left and 5th fuse up, you bypass the controller and the head lights go to manual and should work. the controller may have a poor solder and crack. can solder back together and DLR system should work.

Thanks. Any way that you can describe what the controller looks like or how big it is? I know I saw a box behind the fuse box mounted fairly high (real pain to get to) that I thought might be it, but what you are describing sounds fairly simple to get to.

you're probably right on the control box. black, rectangle, near the fuse holder. ( when i stated poor solder, i was refering to the relay panel), different part of the system. sorry.

I would check/clean the grounds for the right side of vehicle since lo and hi beams do not work properly.
If that doesn't work then take electronics spray cleaner and clean out multi-function switch on steering column.

The wiring harness for the right side headlight goes straight through the fire wall and over to the fuse box. The multifunction switch controls the relays and they are working properly. The switch does not control each headlight independently, but thanks for the suggestions. I feel that it has to be the DRL controller, but just do not know where to find it. It does not show up under any parts searches that I can find. There were no black boxes under the dash that I could find.

Can anyone identify parts that are Ref. No. 13 and 18? Am thinking that one of these may be the DRL controller, but they do not get called out on the list of parts.
