For Crying Out Loud Honda! Electric Cars
We have had a lot of Hondas over the years from the Prelude to a couple of Odysseys, a manual shift Accord and several others.
But Honda is so behind in both electrification and cutting edge technology that I had to go lookup the stats to see if they had lost a lot of market share and could no longer afford to be on the cutting edge.
According to the list I found they are still in the top 10 of auto manufacturers (see list below).
But Honda is one of 3 companies in that top 10 that don't have a vehicle that qualifies for the federal tax credit of up to $7,500 for a fully electric car. Welcome your inmates Honda! Fiat/Chrysler and General Motors!! Wow talk about the company you keep!! At least, GM has the Chevy Bolt. Honda: Nothing.
Want 360 degree camera? Not in a Honda!
Want a HUD (heads up display)? Not in a Honda!
Give Subaru credit. Even though their annual gross income and net income is dwarfed by Honda, it appears that they still will be able to deliver a fully electric SUV to the US market before Honda.
This lack of creativity and cutting edge features is I assume a byproduct of Honda trying to be as profitable as possible. Short term glory; long term failure.
Time to turn the ship Honda!
