To Extend or Not to Extend...That is the question.
Hi. My name is Debra and I received a letter in the mail today offering extended coverage on my Honda Accord. It is a 2010 with 39K miles. The factory warranty has expired. I was offered an extended warranty for 5yrs/$2309.00, $120.00 down pymt and mthly pymts of $91.00 per mth (to be pif in 24mths) There is a $100.00 deductible and it covers everything (with the exception on general wear and tear (oil changes, brakes, tires) Is this a good deal or a waste of money? The reason I purchased a Honda in the first place was because of their reputation of lasting a long time with little to no maintenance. I have had it for 2 years with no problems. To extend or not to extend???

how is the car going to last if you give it little to no maintenance.just because its a honda doesn't mean it doesn't need to be maintained. and yes those extended warranties are a rip off with proper "maintenance" the car will easily go 5 years without a major problem.

If your car is performing well without any problem then there is no need spend money. But if you think that there is something that need to be improve then you should go. If you can spend money then you should extend it, No doubt it will improve the overall performance and your car need not any maintenance for 4 to 5 years.
