Good dealer story
For anyway an Orange County CA...
I stopped at Honda World in Westminster this morning for some oil to top up my tranny, and my experience with the parts Dept. had a couple of really good parts.
First was that someone else was having a key made, and I was there, so I asked how much it would be for me to get one for my car.
The parts guy was like 'your car is a 98, so $15, and cutting the key is included.'
That alone impressed me because I've been charged $50+ for a similar non-chipped key, but since I was there, I asked another question.
I've been looking for any documentation on what oil goes in my 98 CR-V's rear differential. The consensus I've found here, and a couple of other places is that it uses Dual Pump Fluid, but that's mostly in the form of "I think" comments, and there doesn't seem to be documentation on it. The Honda dealer by my house (Rock Honda, Fontana) doesn't even know, or have to ability to look it up.
I asked the parts guy, and he answered me right away, that it is Dual Pump Fluid.
I think that place is going to be my go-to from now on.
