My 2002 has a VTEC and so far, it has performed perfectly and even though an auto, gets 27 to 28 mpg city and up to 39 mpg highway. I WISH I had kept track of how my non-VTEC 1988 Honda did mileage-wise to compare the two.

 

We get about 26 mpg with our 16 Accord Sport,love this car and it is pretty strong,I have surprised a few people with it!
