Default 07 Honda Civic headlights

I’ve been trying to instal 12000 lms 100 watt headlights and they don’t seem as bright as i was hoping for. Is there enough voltage to handle those kinds of headlights or do I need to upgrade my battery and alternator? Any other options would help.

welcome to the forum. you need to add up all the amps you use, and determine how big an alternator you need to install. onallcylinders.com/2015/03/07/alt-text may help you on how much alternator to get.

P=power in watts
I=current in amperes
V=voltage in volts

P=IV or P=IxV
100 watts="I" times 12 volts
Which "I" is less than 10 amps
Car battery puts out couple of hundred amps for cranking engine
So, doubtful changing battery or alternator will get brighter headlights
It is a function of the head lights themselves.

Besides the headlight unit, only other thing that can reduce brightness is resistance in the wires (or weak battery).
