1998 Honda Civic EX auto wont crank
Hello, this is a tricky one
Honda wont crack. Bypassing does crank and start the car
The ignition switch has 12v.
There is a relay box under dash that i think might be a security cut off or something. It clicks and does send 12v to the other side. 5v out to the two smaller wires that goes to the computer hookup. So i believe that is fine
I dont get any voltage to the ignition side of the automatic gear selector plug that i removed to check. The larger black wire with white has no voltage. Only a few smaller wires do. So i dont think its the gear selector.
It appears there is no power to the gear selector for that to be an issue?
So im a little stumped why i have no power? I dont see anything else in the dash. Hard to trace it all with the sealed wires.
There is an old car alarm horn but i dont see an alarm in the car.
I wired a new line to the starter and spliced into the ignition start at the relay under the dash so that works.
What could be the problem? Anyone?
Thank you

I dont have access to a computer to plug in.
Its an automatic and the gear selector shows correctly moving very slowly through each gear so that communicating.
When you first turn the car on you see P and D4 not blinking just on rhen off when its started
