I recently purchased a 89 Accord 1 owner from an estate.
The vehicle has sat for about 2.5 years. I flushed the fuel out changed all fluids before running the car. I ran two cans of cleaner through the system and still I have an issue.
the car idles irrattic about 1800 at first and then idles down to about 1200. After driving the car approx 80 miles it begins to run rough at idle and will stall when coming to a stop.
Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forum,you didn't say if the car was fuel injected or a Carb,if a carb it is most probably a bad float,at low RPM's especially at idle the engine is flooding causing a stall.

 

This car is a fuel injection model 2.0 L
