catalytic converter
i was recently driving along when my 89 JDM B16a crx just completely died an wouldnt even start an the light in the dash for the catalytic stayed on ,i later found out the problem was the distributor, the cap had cracks an the bearings in the distributor were almost seized, but now it has been replaced an runs fine but the light for the cat converter is still on please help

just to start did you disconnect the battery? If not, try doing so and see if the light comes back on. As you probably know the cat is mostly for emmissions and the distributor is for starting, this might be non related. For a few bucks you can get a diag to tell you the code.

thanks
thanks i will give that a try an see what happens.
i have another question you might be able to answer for me,
when i purchased the crx it came with some buddy club racing parts, the parts are copper head gasket,skunk2 (305-05-0140) performance camshafts-turner stage 1,adjustable buddy club cam gears, racing retainers, racing valve springs,an a vtec mod chip, what gains will the b16a see from fitting these parts? any advice would be greatly appreciated as this is my first vtec.
