Default Cylinder #1 misfire

I received a warning light "on" onmy 2001 CR-V with 70,000 mi. Pull the code & it said #1 cylinder misfired (believe the code # is P1399). The car gradually ran rough & hesitate and got worse over the past month. All four spark plugs looked brownish, but not oily black. Anyway, I changed spark plugs & wire set, ignition coil, fuel & air filters, checked CPV valve to be OK. Put in two treatment of injector cleaner. But none solved the problem. What should I do next? Fuel injectors, O2 sensor? Thanks for your help.

If you have a compression tester,do a compression test. Not to difficult to do, you might want to purchase one if you don't have one, and you will know if the head gasket might be leaking, this will also cause a cylinder misfire condition. And a rough engine.

There is also a TSB on the 99-01 CRV for valve problems.
As mentioned earlier get a compression test done or have the valves adjusted and / or checked.
