Dead Keyfob and Non-Keyfob Spare
Hi. 06 Accord EX. The battery in my keyfob died. When I try to open the door manually with the key (keyfobbed key), the alarm goes off. The same goes for my spare which is a non-keyfob key. The alarm goes away after maybe a minute but I don't risk driving it and having it have some security feature that turns the alarm back on part way or even turns off the car while driving. Both keys are able to turn the car on. I will replace the battery in the fob. However, if I were to lose the key with the fob, how would I go about driving the car? Thanks for the help.
Edit:
So I replaced the battery and was able to open the car with the spare without tripping the alarm. However, when I insert the spare and turn it to the II position (on?/acc? I don't remember) the green key light blinks slowly. When I use the fobbed key, that green key goes away after a few seconds. Is this normal?
