This was in the passenger seat of my sweetie's Fit after an oil change.

Can anyone tell me what it is? Should I reinstall? Where does it go?

It should be an under body plastic panel.
They are taken off to access the oil plug and/or the oil filter
Jack up car and look under where oil pan is near.
If you decide to put them back then you will need the plugs to hold them in place
It it not necessary. They are used to reduce air drag and reduce water splash

Actually, the splash guard on the right side is a little more important because it also keeps rocks and stuff from getting thrown into the engine drive belts by the RF wheel. I would suggest at least keeping that one installed.
