Unhappy Honda CR-V 2002 AC problem

Hi to all ;
AC problem on my CR-V 2002 : When activate AC On : the AC clutch and both fans turns ON for a couple of seconds , then all stop; If I retry immediately : NO start at all ; Fuses , relays, all Ok; Check the refrigerant presuure on LOW side : 85 psi (AC clutch compressor OFF) I am unable to check the pressure when sytem is ON because too short time --. AC clutch does not seems to be size... I wonder : pressure switch or freon pressure too low, or else ...? I think (but i could be wrong ) that there is no Leak of refrigerant . .. I am quite lost on this matter : any help and-or advice will be much appreciated.. Thanks

35 is OK. Throw a scan tool on it and see what the switches are doing.

Yes I know 35 psi is fine when compressor is ON ; I was referring to the pressure reading when compressor is OFF
Is 85 psi really too high on LOW side when compressor is OFF ? Maybe not...or...

I take it you don't have a scan tool. You should get one. They cost about the same as 1 to 2 hours of labor and can save you a lot more than that.
