well along with the car shutting of while driving or idleing autozone showed me i had a code 1259 problem ive learned through here that it could be a bad vtec solenoid valve i checked the screen and it was clean, also that it could be the vtec oil pressure sensor switch. well i was gonna go back today to get the pressure switch tested when i saw and smelled smoke coming from the sterring colum? so i shut the car off and now it wont stay cranked up. it will start up and stay on when you turn the key all the way and hold it but as soon as you let go car shuts off. had to drive car back home while holding key all the way . aaahhhhhhhh

 

I had a Civic that did that, ended up being the key switch.

 

When the key is in on position the lights that come on are the air condition lights and radio. the dashboard indicator lights dont come on its like the on position is gone.
