Default Shim hor head gasket

Hi all, nebee here.
Got a friend with a 89 Accord with a blown head gasket! Machine shop says they would have to take too much of to get it straight! I've used a like .020 brass head shim before to corect for this. Anyone know where I could find one for this or know of a fix?
Thanx
