heres the deal i own a 98 accord i have to test only this year, that beign said the problem is i had the motor rebuilt since the rebuilt when the car is cold in the mornings it idles funny sometimes if i dont have time to heat it up and i drive off it turns off.......after the car is heated the car runs ok.....also the check engine light comes on and off every 3 weeks or so i took it to a test only station and failed the tech said he doesnt know what it could be someone please help me i need to pass the car its my only transportation and i dont have alot of money to be paying mechanics to be trouble shooting it thanks any tips or advise on what it could be would be great Thanks

 

welcome to the forum, need to take the car to ammco and get the code when the engine light comes on, no charge. some autozones will do it for you also. also now you can get an extension for the smog ck.
