timing
i have a 92 civic lx and today i installed a cylinder head on the car.
its my first time taking on a job of this sort and i got every thing down pretty good . my problem is i forgot to mark the timing belt and cam gear.
i bought a haynes manual and followed the instructions and when i tried to turn the crank to see if i was dragging any valves and i think iam.because the crank turns really good for about a half a turn and then it gets real hard to turn.i lined up the marks for my cam gear and also the crank pulley. the book says to line up the horizonal marks on the cam gear with the top flat part of the head. whaen i do that the belt slips on. its a little tough but ican get it. also i have the spark plugs out of the head so cmpression shouldnt be a factor. i just want the thing to turn over so i know im not hitting any valves.i dont know can some one help please
