Default What happens If I use a Manual ecu in an auto?

Hey guys. Have a manual 89' da6, which I damaged when sliding out on black ice. Bought another da6 for parts. The problem is, the integra I have bought is 2 hours drive away. The other da6 is auto, and the only thing stopping it running is the computer is stuffed.

So basically, what would happen if I put the manual computer into the auto car? Would it change gear at all? Would it survive the 2 hour drive home?

Cheers

welcome to the forum. I have been advised that the engine will run poorly.
